In all aged care facilities residents can be confident that they will receive clean linen and three meals a day … but it’s what makes people want to get up every day that is the important thing in life.
At Mercy Community Services (MCS) your reason for getting up each day is central to what we do!
This is why we take the time to find out – even before you come into care – the things that matter to you. Our Transition to Care program is designed to gather information from prospective residents and their families and this information lays the foundation for our partnership in care.
Our activities staff and volunteers are involved from day one in helping new residents to settle in, encouraging them to join in the daily events. Even for those who like their solitude there can be shared times of reflection. Keeping people engaged in their community is important and if the resident cannot access the community, then helping the community to come to them is our goal. We provide a welcoming environment for all.
